For over a century, Amica Insurance has been providing help for all drivers in the United States, making it the oldest mutual insurer in the country. The company has worked hard to reach this goal, by relying on the newest technologies. These new technologies have helped them bring service to their customers faster than ever before, which has helped customers see their business relationship as more of a personal one. The golden rule of many of their representatives who work directly with the public is to provide customers with the best service possible. This means giving everyone the same amount of attention, focusing on details, and answering any questions that may arise. We are proud to say that over one third of our clients are people who have been customers for at least twenty years, and that our customer base is constantly expanding. We have found that many of our new customers come to us because of the good things they have heard from other customers, and this word of mouth is something that we take pride in sharing. Since we first began in 1907, we have experienced a long and worthwhile journey. With more than 3,000 employees in a variety of branch offices around the US, we are one of the oldest mutual insurers around. We are the favorite insurance company for a number of policyholders for a variety of different reasons. If you were to ask each policyholder what they like, you may find a number of different answers. Many customers would say they love that we focus on attention as well as the details, and that we provide excellent customer service, which results in satisfied customers. We only employ people who care about other people, and this variety of employees with their different backgrounds is just one way we provide this type of service. We combine all our employees' backgrounds to create a wide pool of responsibilities, talents, strengths, and abilities.
One of the main commitments the company has out of a large number of commitments is to bring about a culture that uses a number of diversities and opportunities. When you work for Amica Insurance, you will find that we offer a number of outstanding benefit packages, and that each one is a real benefit to our employees. We believe in celebrating diversity in our workplace by fostering an equal opportunity policy. Amica Insurance In The Workplace We believe that the most important thing for our employees is how to keep their co-workers happy and satisfied. We also believe that having a positive attitude, and being aware of what makes a hard worker is equally important. We encourage our workers to use problem-solving techniques, and to collaborate with the different corporate cultures that exist within the workplace. We offer a number of different philanthropic and extracurricular activities for our employees, and we encourage our employees to take advantage of those activities. At times, we even refer specific employees to different activities we offer. If you work at our corporate office or one of our branch offices, we foster a good and positive working environment. Amica Insurance Is An Equal Opportunity Employer We believe that our success comes from our employees. To reward our employees for their hard work, we offer our employees one of the best packages. Our employees typically work a total of 35 hours a week, without any weekend hours; it is strictly a Monday to Friday job. We also give employees a fifteen-minute break, as well as a 45-minute lunch break. In 1997, we founded the Amica Insurance Companies Foundation. The first year the company ran its annual raffle was 2002, and all the proceeds from the event went to non-profit organizations. Amica Insurance also gives out citizenship grants of $1,000 to needy people in the US. The company also gives out a number of different annual donations to help financially support elementary schools across the countries. Some students and community programs also benefit from the donations given out by the company. Amica Insurance began providing support to the United Way in 1932, and has continued their support throughout the years. All the agencies that are involved are available for the United Way to collect funds. One such benefactor is the Oliver Hazard Perry Middle School in Providence with 800 students, all from diverse backgrounds. More About Amica Insurance With a history dating back nearly a century, the company is devoted to examining its journey over the years. They believe that history repeats itself, and that they can gain insight into the future by looking at their past. The greatest strength of their company is the referrals given by their current customers. We provided phenomenal customer service during the hurricane season, and proved our commitment to our employees. The company is known for its accolades and awards, including the J.D. Power and Associates' ranking for Highest in Overall Customer Satisfaction Among National Auto Insurers. In 2005, they received this award for the sixth straight year. They are proud to say that their homeowner retention rate is 94.6%, while 93.6% refers to their auto retention rate of customers. The company netted over $145 million, and over $13 million in net income, a significant rise from rates seen in 2004. |
